The cinema, with its eight movie theatres and 1,500 seats, has developed in just a few years into one of the most successful cinema operations in Berlin. The two-story foyer, with its impressive open staircase in its centre, is square-shaped and full of architectural highlights. Materials such as cast iron, steel and concrete create a distinct atmosphere, combining modern objectivity with the historical. The comfortable furnishings of the cinemas in the former fermenting halls represent a wonderful connection of preservation with modern utilization. The program itself is also unique. Along with art house films, selected Hollywood productions are also shown. This special mixture makes the cinema at the KulturBrauerei not only an attraction for Berlin’s movie-mad audiences, but also a popular spot for movie premiers.
